ShotGrab for iOS — Privacy Policy
Last updated 18 October 2026
In short
ShotGrab for iOS does not collect your personal data. There is no account, no server of ours, no analytics, no advertising and no tracking. Your photos, videos and file names are never sent to us or to anyone else.
Who we are
ShotGrab is made by Gabriele Rinaldis. For anything about this policy or your data, write to team@shotgrab.net.
Your photo library
The app asks for access to your photo library only to list the photos and videos you choose and copy them. Files go to the drive you connect to your iPhone or iPad, or to the device you pick with AirDrop. If you choose to delete the originals after a verified copy, it happens through Apple's own confirmation dialog, on your device — ShotGrab never deletes anything silently.
AirDrop
When you use AirDrop as the destination, the app hands your files to the iOS share sheet. You choose the recipient, and the transfer happens directly between your devices, handled by Apple. We never see or store those files.
What the app remembers on your device
- the last destination folder structure you set up;
- a local record of which files were already copied, so they are skipped next time;
- a counter of how much data you have copied during the free trial. It is a single number, stored in the iOS Keychain for this device only and not synced to your other devices. It can survive deleting the app, so that reinstalling does not reset the free allowance.
All of this stays on your device and is never transmitted anywhere.
Purchases
Subscriptions and one-time purchases are handled entirely by Apple through the App Store. We do not receive your name, Apple ID or payment details: the app only checks on your device, through Apple's StoreKit, whether you have unlocked it. Apple's handling of that data is described in Apple's Privacy Policy.
Third parties
The iOS app includes no third-party SDKs and makes no network requests of its own for analytics, advertising or crash reporting. If you tap Share in Settings, only a link to shotgrab.net is shared, through the iOS share sheet.
Your rights
Because we hold no personal data about you through the app, there is nothing for us to access, correct or delete. To remove what stays on your device, delete the app. Questions: team@shotgrab.net.
