Who we are
ShotGrab is made by One More Take Srls. For anything about this policy or your data, write to team@shotgrab.net.
What this site does
shotgrab.net is a marketing page for the ShotGrab macOS app. It has no account system, no forms and no backend of its own — the only thing it can collect is anonymous traffic data, and only if you accept it below.
Google Analytics
If you accept the cookie banner, this site loads Google Analytics (GA4) to understand how many people visit and where they come from. It collects:
- pages viewed and how you arrived here (referrer)
- approximate device and browser type
- an approximate location derived from your IP address, which Google truncates before it's stored
Google processes this data on its own servers, including outside the EU, under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy
Framework and Google's standard contractual clauses. Analytics data is kept for 14 months and then deleted
automatically. This only happens after you click Accept on the banner — the legal basis is
your consent (GDPR Art. 6(1)(a)). If you click Decline, or never interact with the banner
at all, no analytics cookie (_ga, _ga_*) is ever set.
Your choices
You can withdraw or change your consent at any time:
This clears your stored choice and shows the banner again on your next visit. You can also block or delete Google's cookies directly from your browser's site settings at any time.
The ShotGrab apps
This policy also covers the ShotGrab apps for Mac and iOS. Both run entirely on your device: neither sends your photos, videos or file names anywhere, and neither has an account system of its own.
On iOS, ShotGrab asks for access to your photo library only to find the photos and videos you pick and copy them to the SSD you connect — nothing is uploaded, and nothing leaves your iPhone or iPad. If you choose to delete the originals after a verified copy, that happens through Apple's own confirmation, on your device; ShotGrab never deletes anything silently. The only two things the app remembers between launches are your last destination folder structure and a local record of what it already copied, both stored on your device and never transmitted anywhere.
On Mac, licensing is handled by Dodo Payments, our payment processor, under its own privacy policy.
